Barth’s 1947 Mercury coupe reminds him of old times

KEARNEY — Jim Barth heard some great advice while he was searching for a classic car.

“I looked in the weeds at a few old cars,” he said while sitting on the front porch of his home in Kearney, admiring his 65-year-old car. “The guys kept telling me it was smarter to find one that was already restored.”

Barth expanded his search to old car magazines and discovered one he liked. It was a 1947 Mercury coupe with 76,000 miles originally owned by a doctor in Williamsport, Pa.  [read the complete story at the Kearney HUB]
